Withdrawal¶
Withdrawal sends money from your CO2IN wallet back to your own bank account. It requires a verified account, and CO2IN processes requests within 1 business day.
How do I withdraw money?¶
Make a withdrawal request in the app.
First check that your account is verified — the Home screen shows either a verification box still to complete, or a green tick beside your name. If you see the box rather than the tick, withdrawal is still switched off; see verification.
What methods are available?¶
- SEPA transfer in euros
- Local transfer in Czech crowns
Withdrawals in Czech crowns are converted from euros at the point of processing.
Why does my bank account need to be verified?¶
The same anti-money-laundering rule that governs top-ups, in reverse: money can only leave your CO2IN wallet to a bank account held by the same person or company.
How do I verify my bank account?¶
Two ways:
Automatically. If you have already topped up from the account, it is verified by that transfer. This covers most people, since topping up usually comes first.
By email. If you have never topped up from the account — or your provider does not give you a normal account number — send proof of the account to support@co2in.com.
For that to work, the proof must:
- be a PDF
- show that the account holder matches your CO2IN account
- include your CO2IN ID, from Settings → Contact Support
CO2IN processes these in 1–2 business days.
What happens after I request a withdrawal?¶
The CO2IN team checks the details and processes the request. Occasionally they may come back to you for more information, which the anti-money-laundering policy sometimes requires for individual withdrawals.
Throughout, the request sits under Pending transactions in your Wallet, so you can see where it is.
How long does it take?¶
| Stage | Time |
|---|---|
| CO2IN processing your request | within 1 business day |
| Bank transfer reaching you | up to 5 business days |
Most people receive their money within 2 business days. CO2IN controls the first stage but not the second.
Will I be notified?¶
The mobile app sends a push notification when the request has been processed, at which point it moves from Pending transactions to Transactions. A Czech crown withdrawal also shows the conversion that was applied.
Make sure notifications are enabled for CO2IN in your phone's settings.
I have not received my money¶
Allow the full 5 business days after CO2IN processed the request — the delay is almost always the banking leg.
If it has been longer, contact support@co2in.com.
What do IBAN, BIC and SEPA mean?¶
Three terms you will meet when withdrawing.
IBAN — International Bank Account Number. The standard way of writing a bank account so it can be identified internationally. It starts with two letters for the country, followed by a fixed format.
BIC — Business Identifier Code, 8 or 11 characters. It identifies your bank, where the IBAN identifies your account.
SEPA — the Single Euro Payments Area, an EU scheme that makes euro transfers between participating countries work like domestic ones. It is the standard method for euro bank transfers, and is not limited to countries that use the euro.
