Limits¶
Every limit on a CO2IN account in one place. Limits apply to top-ups — how much money you bring in — not to how much CO2IN you can hold.
What are the limits?¶
| Cumulative top-up limit | |
|---|---|
| Registered, not verified — any age | €400 |
| Verified, 18 or over | €10,000 |
| Verified, under 18 | €4,000 |
The smallest single top-up is €4, or 100 CZK if you send Czech crowns.
Withdrawal is switched off entirely until your account is verified.
Are limits cumulative or per transaction?¶
Cumulative, and they do not reset. The limit applies to the sum of everything you have ever topped up, not to a single transfer or to a calendar period.
So an unverified account that has topped up €400 in total has reached its limit permanently, however long ago those top-ups happened.
Why are there limits at all?¶
Anti-money-laundering rules. CO2IN can only offer higher limits to accounts it knows something about, which is what verification establishes. The limits are the trade-off for being able to open an account in about two minutes.
What happens if I send more than my limit?¶
Money received above your limit is returned to the account it came from. It is not held, and it is not credited in part.
If this has happened to you, contact support@co2in.com.
I have reached my limit. What can I do?¶
Depends which limit you have reached:
- Unverified — verify your account. This is the common case, and it raises the limit from €400 to €10,000.
- Verified — write to support@co2in.com. Limits above €10,000 are available on request.
- Verified and under 18 — the €4,000 cap is fixed and cannot be raised until you turn 18.
